Zahdi Kadri was born in 1972 in a village in the Western Galilee. In the mid-1990s he taught at the Academy of Art and Industry in St. Petersburg in Russia, as well as completing his master's degree in murals in Russia. He worked in St. Petersburg for several years, and returned to Israel towards the end of 2004. His work is closely related to Palestinian history, and he is known as a Palestinian artist who brings the socio-historical problems of the Palestinians to the art field through modern and simple painting.
