RUSSIAN JEWISH B & W LITHOGRAPH BY ANATOLI KAPLAN
Anatoli Lvovich Kaplan (Russian, Israeli, 1903-1980) original black and white lithograph on paper, Rivkeli, illustration for Sholem Aleichem, Stempenju. 10 - Rivkel, 1967. Signed and dated in pencil, lower right. Titled in pencil, lower left. Throughout his life, Anatoly Kaplan's work was closely associated with Jewish folklore and Yiddish literature; he illustrated the works of a number of Jewish writers, including the classics of Jewish literature, as well as Jewish folk songs.
