ANATOLI KAPLAN RUSSIAN JEWISH SIGNED LITHOGRAPH
A vintage hand signed limited edition lithograph by Anatoly Kaplan, Soviet, Jewish, 1903 - 1980. Signed in the Cyrillic lower right and numbered 2 of 150 lower left. Matted and framed. Anatoly Lvovich Kaplan studied at the Higher Artistic and Technical Institute in Petrograd-Leningrad under G. S. Vereisky and A. A. Rylov. The work of Anatoly Kaplan throughout his life was closely connected with Jewish folklore and literature in Yiddish, he was a creator of illustrations for the works of a number of Jewish writers, including the classics of Jewish literature, as well as Jewish folk songs.
