RUSSIAN GOUACHE ILLUSTRATION BY EUGENE LANCERAY
Gouache on paper painting by Yevgeny Lansere, also spelled as Eugene Lanceray, 1875 to 1946, a Russian artist of the Mir iskusstva movement, brother of the painter Zinaida Serebriakova. The artwork depicts two men riding lions. Presumably a sketch for a book illustration. Signed by the artist in the upper right and on the backside. Handwritten notes on the mat. Grey mat. Collectible Russian Graphic Art.
Dimensions: Overall size: Matte 8 1/2 x 12 1/4 in. Image 4 3/4 x 7 1/2 in. All measurements are approximate.
