FRENCH ALGERIAN OIL PAINTING BY AUGUSTIN FERRANDO
Augustin Ferrando, Algerian, French, 1880 to 1957, oil painting on canvas depicting a market scene with a portrait of an African mother and a child. Signed lower right. Framed. Augustin Jean Ferrando is a French orientalist painter of the modern school. Considered the only Fauvist painter in Algeria, Ferrando won several vermilion medals at the exhibitions of the Orientalist Artists Society. One of a kind artwork.
