FRENCH STILL LIFE PAINTING BY CLAUDE VENARD FRAMED
Claude Venard, French, 1913 to 1999, oil painting on canvas depicting a post-Cubist still life composition. Signed by the artist lower center. Framed. Known for working in a distinctive angular style, Claude Venard accentuated the chromatic qualities of his palette through thickly applied impasto paint. The artists works are included in the permanent collection of the Modern Art Museum in Paris, the Tate Gallery in London, the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, and the Tokyo Museum.
