OIL PAINTING IN MANNER OF SOUTH KOREAN KIM WHANKI
A Modern oil painting on canvas depicting a Figurative geometric composition with a heron in the manner of Kim Whanki, South Korean, French, 1913 to 1974. Inscribed, Whanki, lower right. Framed. a paper label of the Galerie M. Benezit, on the backside. Kim Whanki was a painter and pioneering abstract artist of Korea, born in the village of Eupdong ri on the island of Kijwa, of Anjwa myeon, Sinan County, South Jeolla Province in Korea under Japanese rule.
