A mixed media painting on paper depicting theatre costume after the avant-garde sketch by Vadym Meller, Ukrainian, 1884 to 1962, circa from the 1920s. Inscribed with the word Carnival in Russian at the upper left. Vadym Meller was a Soviet painter, avant-garde cubist, constructivist and expressionist artist, theatrical designer, book illustrator, and architect.
