WHITMAN GUALSAQUI ECUADORIAN MIXED MEDIA PAINTING
Whitman Raul Gualsaqui, Ecuadorian, born 1960, mixed media painting on canvas depicting a Folk art cityscape in the Surreal manner, 2021. Signed and dated, lower right. Whitman Raul Gualsaqui was born in 1960 in Otavalo, where he lives and works. He studied at the Faculty of Arts of the Universidad Central del Ecuador de Quito, where he is a professor of Drawing. In 1989 he was selected to participate in the II Biennial of International Painting of Cuenca and in 2009 the Casa de la Cultura Ecuatoriana Nucleo Imbabura gave him the Pilanqui medal. His painting is extremely traditional. The birth of his daughter changed his artistic vision, and he began to paint the Ternura series. Modern Latin American Fine Art, Expressionist Oil Paintings, and Collectibles. One of a kind artwork.
