An antique mid 18th century oil on canvas painting depicting a portrait of an American officer from the period of French and Indian war 1754 to 1763. The uniform details, such as a single row of buttons on the livery, white cuffs, American Eagle belt, and the headgear indicate that the portrayed man served in the infantry. Traces of a signature in the lower right. Golden arched frame.
