RUSSIAN SOVIET MARSHAL BUDYONNY SILVER SHASHKA AWARD
A Russian Soviet USSR honorary Marshal Budyonny award weapon, a cossack sword with the Order of the Red Banner, a unique and historically significant Soviet-era silver shashka, presented in 1945 for the Battle of Berlin by Marshal of the Soviet Union Semyon Budyonny to Cavalry Commander General Major Sergey Shmuylo. Crafted in the imperial Russian engraved silver Caucasian Dagestan Kubachi style of Markharay, the fittings are marked by silversmith K.L. The sword features an Order of the Red Banner, along with a silver award plaque inscribed in Russian, reading Combat Saber to a Combat General. To Major General S.T. Shmuylo from Semyon Budyonny. Moscow 1945. Russian Soviet Military Awards And Historical Collectibles. Total weight: 1055 g.
