SIGNED RUSSIAN SOVIET ENGRAVING BY NIKOLAY LESKO 1961
A vintage Russian engraving on paper by Nikolay Lesko. The artwork depicts a scene with workers in a factory. Hand signed in pencil and dated 1961 on the lower right. Matted and framed. Lesko Nikolay Ivanovich, 1907 to 1980, was a Russian Soviet painter, graphic artist. Studied at the Smolensk State Art Studio, the Higher Art Technical Institute in Moscow. Teachers: Mushketov V.I., Favorsky V.A., Nivinsky I.I., Shterenberg D.P., Pavlinov P.Ya. After the end of the Great Patriotic War, he moved to Lviv and began working at the Lviv Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts, where he taught until his retirement. Since 1947, he has actively participated in city, republican, all-Union and foreign exhibitions. Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. Honored Artist of the Ukrainian SSR. Author of several monographs on the theory of painting. The artists works are presented in museums and private collections in Ukraine and abroad.
