AMERICAN PRINT POSTER AFTER ROBERT RAUSCHENBERG
A lithographic print poster, Banner from the Stoned Moon Series, 1969, after Robert Rauschenberg. Provenance: a well preserved time capsule from the prestigious Decoration and Design Building D and D Building in New York City, a renowned trade hub for interior designers. Milton Ernest Robert or Bob Rauschenberg, 1925 to 2008, was an American painter and graphic artist whose early works anticipated the Pop art movement. Rauschenberg is well known for his Combines, a group of artworks which incorporated everyday objects as art materials and which blurred the distinctions between painting and sculpture.
