LITHOGRAPH EXHIBITION POSTER ALBERTO MAGNELLI 1977
Alberto Magnelli, Italian, 1888 to 1971, a color lithograph poster created for a posthumous exhibition honoring the modernist painter, held at the Musee Municipal de Vallauris, 1977. Signed and dated in the plate at the upper left, the work reflects Magnellis role in the evolution of concrete art and his close collaboration with the artistic community in Vallauris, including the renowned Madoura pottery and Imprimerie Arnera print shop. Provenance: a well-preserved time capsule within the prestigious Decoration and Design Building in New York City, a landmark trade hub celebrated among top interior designers.
