CYCLADIC ALABASTER BOWL
Ca. 3000-2800 BC.A carved bulbous jar having a rounded collar rim and four carved equidistant small perforated lugs around the shoulder. Scattered areas of light surface deposits. Two tiny ancient rim flakes on the rim and some normal minor surface abrasions, otherwise intact. A rare and elegant example. Size: 95mm x 135mm; Weight: 600g Provenance: Property of a North London gentleman; from a Private collection formed in Paris in the 1970-90’s; acquired on the french Art market, Drouot.
