India, Ca. Late 19th century AD. An oval belt buckle or trinket inlay, decorated with floral motifs with vibrant polychrome enamel on a white ground. The intricate gold-outlined foliage and blossoms in red, blue, and green showcase the fine craftsmanship associated with Mughal and Rajput decorative arts.
