Trees of life in the shape of a hand - MoroccoTrees of life. Morocco [probably from the Fez, early 20th century]. carved and painted wood; Engraved money. The top of the trees of life is made of wood carved in a hand pattern holding a wooden pole. next to the ornate cuff, and below it a wide, grooved strip; In fixed grooves are helical silver wires. At the top and bottom of the strip are narrow silver strips, legislatively decorated with plant models. On the upper strips is inscribed an inscription (identical in both trees of life): "Simcha daughter of Yosef Attar." The lower part of the trees of life is carved in a stepped pattern. Overall height: 112.5 cm. Moderate-good. Fractures and defects in wood. Faded color. The upper part of the trees of life is detached from the poles.
