Shabbat lamp - "The Jewish star" - Germany, 18th century.

Eight wicks for filling oil and wicks, designed in the shape of a star decorated with manual engraving work typical of its time. Under the star hangs another bowl for draining the oil. With a long, serrated saw-like hanger [can be shortened or lengthened], on which the lamp was hung.
The shining star in the center of the menorah became known as the "Jewish Star" ("Judenstern"). Chandeliers of this type and similar ones were common in Jewish homes in Germany and were dedicated to lighting the Shabbat candles.
