Original 144 year old hand-coloured wood engraving after an illustration by A.F. Lydon.The illustrations are very vivid, beautifully coloured engravings and are among the finest of all the illustrations of fish from this period.The book treats the natural history of various species of fishes, amongst which are many salmon and trout, that are known to occur in the rivers, lakes, and ponds of the British Isles.
