RAF ST Mawgan 42 Sqn Signed by Ernst Sorge KC Holder. Recon Pilot. 8 Aug 73 BFPS 1412 International Air Day RAF ST Mawgan 42 Squadron. Personally Signed Captain Sqn Ldr G R Phillips and Pilot Flt Lt R T D'Andrea Also Signed by Ernst Sorge Knights Cross Holder. He joined the Reichswehr in 1935, namely the Infantry Regiment 16, but was quickly transferred to the Luftwaffe, receiving pilot training. In 1937 and 1938, Sorge flew 72 combat missions as a long-range reconnaissance pilot for the Condor Legion. Certified Cover No 10 of 12. Good condition.
