Henry Ryan MacGinnis (1875 - 1962) Oil on canvas viard, signed lower right, measures 14 x 10 abd 18 x 14 inches w/ frame. Henry Ryan MacGinnis, 1875-1962, was born in Indiana and began his artstudies under the eminent Hoosier artists T.C. Steele, J.O. Adams and WilliamForsyth. One of his earliest exhibitions was in 1896, when he showed his workwith other notable Hoosier artists such as T.C. Steele, J. Ottis Adams, R.B.Gruelle, William Forsyth, Otto Stark and Clarence Ball.
