Xie Dong, 19 Pieces of Bone China Tableware, Adelaide Collection
A beautiful set of 19 pieces bone china tableware in the white Adelaide design. The set includes eight small cups measuring H 2.75 W 2.75 inches, six large cups measuring H 3.75 W 3 inches, two dipping cups measuring H 1.25 W 4 inches, one round plate measuring D 11 inches, One squared plate measuring D 11.75 inches and one rectangular tray measuring W 15 D 6 inches.
Xie Dong is a Chinese contemporary artist. She works essentially on phenomena, such as heaviness and lightness, on the dynamics of shapes, on elusive elements and throught a particular and complex technical process. Her approach to design is that of an artist able to translate into poetry great artisanal skills linked to ancient chinese handcraftsmanship.
Each piece is different, therefore measurements are approximative. Two dipping sauces are signed on underside.
