SHIMON BAR-KOKHBA, 132 – 135 CE
Silver Denarius or Zuz, year two. 3.2 gr. Obverse: Bunch of grapes; Paleo-Hebrew inscription: "Shimon". Reverse: Juglet. Paleo-Hebrew inscription: "Second year of freedom of Israel”. Overstruck on a denarius of Domitian (his name is preserved on the obverse at 10 o’clock). Meshorer TJC 253; Not in Hendin; Mildenberg 45. About Extremely Fine.
