Beautiful Display Honoring The WWI Military!
1918 WWI US Army Colt 1911 45acp Pistol in very good condition with some wear. Barrel has a "HP" on the hood and "H" "G" in front of the lug, the bore is excellent. The slide has a "H" above the firing pin, a "Y" "G" "2" on the underside, "MODEL OF 1911.U.S.ARMY" on the right side, flat rear sight with circular sight. The frame has" UNITED STATES PROPERTY" "JM"in a circle and "A A" on the left side, No236878 on the right, "H" "E" "G" "8" on the top side. The magazine is 1/2-1/2. MFG 1918 C&R Eligible S/N:235878. The display is housed in a custom made locking fitted oak case with glass top and includes:
-the above mentioned Colt pistol
-brown leather holster with leg tie down stamped US on the flap made by Perkins Campbell 1917 in VG+ condition
-Mills OD web belt with a brass Army snap button in VG+ condition
-OD woven cord shoulder pistol lanyard with snap hook dated Feb 20, 1917in VG+ condition
-Mills OD canvas .45 2 magazine pouch with 2, two tone magazines in VG condition. This pouch snaps to the Army insignia on the Mills belt.
-box of 20 .45 cartridges made by Frankford Arsenal
-7 loose USC .45 cartridges
-brass cleaning rod
-steel combo tool
-"banjo" oil can
-U.S. insignia including brass eagle cap shield, U.S. & artillery collar D.I's, and 2 Lieutenant bars.
This display is professionally made and shows well. Measures 24" wide, 18" tall, 4.5" deep.
