CONSTANTINE - pandant les troubles antisemites - during antisemitic riots. A rare Real-Photo postcard documenting the State Corps going out to establish order during antisemitic riots against the Jews in Constantine, Algeria. As far as we know, here is the only Documentation of these events that took place at the beginning of the 20th century. Sent by mail in 1902.
Constantine had one of the most important Jewish communities in Algeria, nicknamed "Little Jerusalem". At the head of the community were important rabbis such as Sidi Faraj Halimi.
