GENERAL MACARTHUR FIRST DAY COVER
(1880-1964) American military leader who served as General of the Army for the United States, as well as a Field Marshal to the Philippine Army. He was Chief of Staff of the United States Army during the 1930s. First Day cover signed by MacArthur in the lower left. Stamps canceled Manila, Philippines, Feb. 3 1948, with a red stamp on the left 'I Shall Return Third Anniversary Entry of American Forces.' The cover is addressed to Brigadier General Alonzo Patrick Fox. 3.5 x 6.5 inches.
