A 19th Century Domestic Medicine Chest, English, mahogany trunk-type chest with brass fittings, velvet lining to the interior, ruched plush-lining to the lid and a brass plaque engraved FROM APOTHECARIES HALL LONDON, the lifting lid to compartments housing a glass pill tile, four larger, five medium and six smaller pharmacy bottles with stoppers (3 possible replacements), with a mixture of retailer, printed and handwritten paper content labels, with brass retaining rod to drawer beneath, two compartments with sliding doors one with a glass mortar and pestle and the other containing three glass pots with plated lids, a plated funnel, a small graduated glass measure in a card case, the further compartments with two tin boxes for powders, a handheld brass balance and weights in a removable section, two spatulas beneath, and a further six small bottles and stopper with various paper labels and one with chamois cover – 26.5cm. x 22.5cm. x 19.2cm. Note: some bottles contain original contents so cannot be posted by Flints Shipping department. Buyer to arrange collection or own courier/shipping company.
