Blessing for Supporting Torah:
“And the Beneficent G-d shall shower upon you great blessing and success in all matters as you desire, in the merit of supporting Torah, from the one who blesses you with life, peace and all goodness, Yisrael Meir Hakohein of Radin.”
The Chafetz Chaim dedicated heart and soul to promote the value of supporting Torah, traveling often and frequenting cities, towns and villages in Europe to advocate and arouse the public to donate to yeshivos and maintain Torah scholars. He likewise authored numerous pamphlets on this topic, expressing that “Hachzakas Torah is the greatest of all mitzvos whose reward is eternal and infinite.”
The Chafetz Chaim’s profound love of Torah and supporters of Torah is manifest from the lines of this letter of blessing that he inscribed by hand at the age of 86 to patrons of Torah.
