A FRENCH FLINTLOCK PISTOL C. 1780S W/HIGH QUALITY GILT FITTINGS
A French flintlock pistol of the late 18th century with high quality gilt brass fittings which have been decorated with various filigree patterns. The backstrap of the pistol is inlaid with a gilt cartouche of a person in profile, the underside of the trigger guard being similarly decorated.
France, c. 1780s.
