BALZAC HONORÉ DE: (1799-1850) French Novelist and Playwright. Best known for his masterwork novel La Comedie Humaine. Scarce A.L.S., Balzac, three pages, 8vo, n.p., 9th April 1849, to Monsieur Souverain, in French. Balzac writes this interesting letter to his editor Souverain, explaining that he needs to ask him one more but very important favour, stating in part `You will receive at your home a violin in a box, and what I need is that you ship it in the quickest way, considering post in France and Germany, to Brody, to my address at We must get this violin here for beginning of June in order to offer it as a present..
