BUTLER DAVID: (1894-1979) American film director, actor and screenwriter. Vintage signed and inscribed postcard photograph, the composite image featuring Butler seated in a full-length pose relaxing with a drink, with the printed caption At Home! beneath, and the other image depicting the director seated in a full-length pose on the set of one of his films, appearing somewhat exhausted and with his folded arms and head resting on a film can, with the printed caption Abroad!!! beneath. Signed in blue fountain pen ink at the head of the image, 'For Aileen “The fastest human”!, Sincerely, David Butler', his surname running across a darker area. VG
