[MASSENET JULES]: (1842-1912) French composer of the Romantic era. ROUSSELIERE CHARLES (1875-1950) French tenor. Vintage signed postcard photograph by Rousseliere, the image depicting the composer Jules Massenet seated in a three-quarter length pose. Signed by the singer in purple fountain pen ink to a light area of the image and dated at Buenos Aires, August 1907 in his hand. A couple of very light, minor surface creases, otherwise VG
Rousselière sang in the role of Thésée in the Buenos Aires première of Massenet´s opera Ariane at the Teatro de la Opera in 1908.
