Miniature Esther Scroll in an Olive-Wood Case – Jerusalem, Mid-20th Century
Miniature Esther scroll housed in an olive-wood case. [Jerusalem, ca. mid-20th century].
Ink on parchment; carved olive-wood, printed.
HaMelech scroll – most columns begin with the word HaMelech. Sephardic script (unskilled). 14 lines per column.
Case carved with images of the Western Wall and Rachel's Tomb, with printed captions: "Jerusalem", "Western Wall", "Rachel's Tomb".
Height of parchment: 5 cm. Height of case: 19.5 cm. Good condition. Minor damage. A few stains and tears to parchment. Without wooden closure.
