Medal - Jewish Orphanage in Amsterdam, 1865
Bronze medal commemorating the founding of the Jewish orphanage "Megadle Jethomim" in Amsterdam. [Amsterdam, 1865].
Obverse: relief of a woman embracing two children (an allegorical figure representing charity), with a shield decorated with a Star of David, and the Hebrew legend "Megadle Jethomim". At the bottom is the signature "J.Elion Fec.". Reverse: relief of the orphanage building and a legend in Dutch.
Diameter: 69 mm. Traces of glue and adhesive tape.
