Bikurei Shlomo responsa book, by Rabbi Shlomo Avaham Razachta of community of Azrakov. First section. Piotrkow, 1894.
On opposite side of title page printed label by author filled in in his handwriting with his signature and stamp, dedicating the book to “my beloved prominent and famous rabbi… rabbi of the entire Diaspora Rabbi Yitzchak Elchanan Spektor Av Beit Din of Kovno…”. In his signature he requests that Rabbi Yitzchak Elchanan “have me in mind in his prayers during the holy days”. Signatures “bibliotheca of Kollel Kovno”.
Rabbi Shlomo Avraham Razachta – The Ga’on of Azrakov (1843-1928, Otzar HaRabbanim 18677), righteous genius, among greatest rabbinical authorities of his generation, corresponded with giants of his generation. In this book he presents responses and correspondences from the famous Torah giants, Rabbi Yosef Zecharia Stern, Rabbi Yitzchak Shmelkish, Rabbi Eliyahu David Rabinowitz Te’omim [the Aderet], Rabbi Mordechai Gimpel Yaffe, the Sdei Chemed and more. The Ga’on Rabbi Yitzchak Elchanan Spektor, whose response appears in the book, is included among the many who offered their approbation for the book.
