A long letter in his handwriting and signed by Rabbi Reuven Zelig Bengis while he was still in Lithuania. Addressed to Rabbi Aharon Milavsky, Av Beit Din of Montevideo, Tammuz, 1937.
Rabbi Zelig Reuben Bengis, later rabbi of the Eda Haredit in Jerusalem.
The letter was sent to Rabbi Aharon Milewski and written on Rabbi Bengis's official paper. This letter was written in his Lithuanian rabbinate before he immigrated to Israel. Letters from this period are very rare in comparison to letters found in sales, which are usually written in Israel and do not deal with halachic content.
