***Auction Highlight*** 1849-p No Motto Gold Liberty Eagle $10 Graded Select Unc By USCG. Scarce Uncirculated No Motto 1849 $10 Gold Eagle. Nice Luster and a strike above average for the date. Per PCGS, 625 example survive in all grades, with the vast majority grading vf/ef. In Mint State the coin is quite a bit more elusive with a mere 32 uncirculated examples as estimated by PCGS as surviving. The example at hand has nice pleasing orange gold surfaces with no distracting contact marks. Tied for 12th Finest known.
