BYRAM MODEL CIRCUS: WHITE TABLEAU WAGON
Mid-20th century, 3/4 scale. "BILL BYRAM, " with golden lion. 8" high, 6.5" wide, 9" long. Stanley Furst Byram (1905-1993) lived his entire life in Freeport, Illinois, working as a carpenter. He married twice (the first ending in divorce in 1953). Although apparently an active member of the Circus Model Builders and Owners Association, no other known examples of his models exist. This complete model, likely named after his father, William Byram (1871-1954), was purchased by Dr. James Dawson at one of the Nashville antiques show years ago. Provenance: From the collection of the late Dr. James Dawson, sold to benefit the Dr. James Dawson MD Women's Clinic in Uganda
Condition: Some wear.
