A large halved Ammonite fossil - extremely rare. diamond polishing
Spectacular colors, diamond polish. 11.5 cm high, 9.5 cm wide, 1 cm thick. Including the display device.
Country of origin - Madagascar. Weight 172 gr.!!!
"This is a fossil of a spiral-like shell that served as a home for a mollusk that existed millions of years ago, and its disappearance parallels that of the dinosaurs. The shell underwent a process of fossilization under pressure over a long period of time, during which it sometimes combined with other minerals such as quartz, calcite or fluorite that crystallized within the shell's texture."
