German Friction Tin Toy CLIMBING MONKEY TOM ca.1930s
Lehmann 385 "Tom the Climbing Monkey", German, circa 1930s, climbing monkey toy, with lithographic paintwork. One end of the string is to be held under the foot, and the other in one's hand, when pulling the string the monkey climbs. Lehmann name painted on the bottom of the waistcoat and on one arm. On the other arm is the name 'Tom' repeated on the hat, together with the Lehmann trademark, toy measures approx (8 in). Light use and wear as shown, see photos
