Reid & Co. Gramophone-Cinema (The Kinephone) w/Box
The Gramophone-Cinema or The Kinephone is an early 20th century novelty device that fits over the spindle of a gramophone record player and provides a visual cinema as the record spins. Included "reels" are of cartoon images of Felix the cat, Charlie Chaplin and others that dance as the record spins through an optical illusion. Piece is in good condition. Some rust on the wheels that sit underneath the viewing platform, though the wheels still spin. Eah disc is in good condition, no rips or tears some very light staining.
