M1841 Mississippi Rifle w/Shortened Forestock
This Mississippi Rifle has good bones but is not without some issues. It should be shown in the photos that various screws are missing and the firing mechanism is incomplete. What this rifle does have is in generally good shape. All of the brace is in great condition The barrel is straight and what is there of the firing mechanism has very little rust and feels solid. The stock is a shortened alternative and has some cracks and a moderate sized piece that cracked off and is missing. This piece is still clean and would make an excellent display. It could also serve as a parts piece to restore other Mississippi Rifles. See Photos.
