Written by R. Elazar Azikri of Safed (1533-1600).
R. Elazar Azikri was a leading Torah scholar of his day and a contemporary of Safed’s greatest Torah leaders, such as R. Yosef Karo, R. Issac Luria - Arizal, and R. Moshe Kordevero.
The work contains many laws relating to the Land of Israel and a collection of “Love Songs to the Creator, ” including the popular Sabbas song, “Yedid Nefesh”
