Large Illuminated Antiphonal Sheet
Large illuminated antiphonal sheet. Ink and pigment on vellum. Depicting a monk and angel amid scrollwork. With two illuminated letters.
Unframed; height: 22 3/4 in x width: 30 3/4 in. Framed; height: 32 in x width: 40 in x depth: 1 1/4 in.
Condition: There are no visible tears, losses, or restorations. The sheet is toned. There is undulation throughout. There are creases, handling marks, and areas of soiling throughout, particularly along the extreme edges that are consistent with age. There is also a crease running vertically along the center that is consistent with being folded in half or bound in a book. Framed under glass; light wear to the frame. Not inspected out of frame.
