2001, Israel Operation Jonathan 25th anniversary 3 medals gold, silver & bronze w/case, Israel operation Jonathan (Entebbe) 25th-anniversary state medal 3 medals; gold 14k 17g 499 minted sterling silver 49g 999 minted bronze 40g in a walnut display case & certificate of authenticity we hereby certify that the "operation Jonathan 25th anniversary" medal is a state medal of Israel, commemorating the dramatic rescue of the air France hostages at the Entebbe terminal, Uganda, in 1976 and perpetuating the memory of lt. Col. Jonathan (yoni) Netanyahu, commander of the fighting units who fell in the operation.
