Sefer Chochmas Adam and Binas Adam, Zolkiew 1835. Used by R. Amram Blum author of 'Beis Shearim'.

Sefer Chochmas Adam was written by R. Avraham Danzig from Vilna. It was written as a commentary guide to Shulchan Aruch Yoreh De'ah. It was first printd in Vilna in 1815-16, and has since been printed in hundreds of editions.

A complete copy of the Zolkiew 1835 edition (besides for the last leaf which is lacking), which was apparently used by R. Amram Blum while he was serving as Chief Rabbi of Khust (Chust).

Lengthy inscription on flyleaf, describing how this volume belongs to R. David Krausz, Rosh HaKahal of Chust, and is currently borrowed by "My Master, the Great R. Amram Blum of Chust." Please refer to the Hebrew description for an accurate detail of the inscription. In another interesting inscription, the writer makes reference to R. Gershon Stern, son-in-law of R. Amram Blum, who is about to take upon the position of Rabbi of Almosd, Hungary.

R. Amram Blum (1834-1907) was a grandson of the R. Amram Chasida (Rosenbaum), and a disciple of the K'sav Sofer, as well as R. Meir Perles of Karoly (Carei). He was one of the leading Hungarian Poskim and corresponded with virtually all of Hungary's Rabbis. His responsa was published in 'Beis Shearim'.

Various ownership Inscriptions on title page.
