A Heartfelt Letter from R. Baruch Ber Leibowitz – Written to Mrs. Jennie Miller-Faggen of Philadelphia, Kaminetz 1930. With Original Envelope
A heartfelt letter of appreciation by R. Baruch Ber Leibowitz, Rosh Yeshiva of Knesses Beis Yitzchok Kaminetz, and author of Birkas Shmuel. Written entirely in Yiddish, this letter is addressed to Mr. Nissan Miller-Faggen and his wife, Mrs. Jennie (Pesha) Miller-Faggen, who were known far and wide for their charitable and philanthropic donations to Torah institutions of prewar Europe. In it, R. Baruch Ber thanks them profusely for their $36 dollar donation to Yeshivas Kaminetz. (This was a small fortune in those days. It is equivalent to about $650 in today’s currency).
[2] pages, typed on official stationery. The final 5 lines are written in Yiddish by R. Baruch Ber himself with his signature and personal stamp, offering warm and personal wishes of blessing to Mr. and Mrs. Miller (loosely translated from Yiddish): “I would like to bless you and your pious generous wife, may Hashem grant you long years, and may you be blessed with all the blessings of the Torah with happiness and wealth. May you merit to see the fulfillment of the Blessings of the Torah, Baruch Dov Leibowitz”.
In recent months, Mishpacha Magazine featured an extensive article documenting the life and wondrous ways of Mrs. Jennie Miller-Faggen. It is worth the read! See here:

Includes the original envelope sent from Kaminetz, addressed to: “Mrs. J. Miller Faggen 1837 N. 33rd St., Philadelphia, PA, U.S. America”.
[2] pages on official stationery. In good condition, with fold marks.
