Techinah Meishiv Nefesh – A Rare Supplication For Women To Be Recited During Elul

Techinah Meishiv Nefesh – A Rare Prayer For Women, “To be recited throughout the entire year and especially beginning Rosh Chodesh Elul until Yom Kippur”.

Printed entirely in Yiddish, as it was intended for women who were not knowledgeable in Hebrew. Without a date or place of printing, however, we assume it was printed in the early-mid 1800s in Russia or Ukraine. This edition of this Techinah is rare and to the best of our knowledge is unrecorded. The National Library of Israel possesses an almost identical copy with slight variations, probably printed at a different place and time.

A very fine copy, with uncut original margins.

Approx. 15.5cm.

[4] double-sided leaves.
