Classic: Sefer Shamos B’Aretz - Yom Teruah/Tosefos Yom HaKippurim/Kappos Temarim, Constantinople 1727. First Edition.
A complete copy of “Shamos B’Aretz” which contains novella and commentary to Tractates Rosh HaShanah (Yom Teruah), Yoma (Tosefes Yom HaKippurim) and Sukkah (Kappos Temarim). Written by R. Moshe ibn Habib of Salonica. Upon moving to Jerusalem, he studied under the tutelage of R. Yaakov Hagiz and ultimately became his son-in-law. His works are studied regularly till this very day and have been held in high esteem by leading Torah scholars throughout the generations.
In very good condition. Transparent repair tape seen on leaf I, not affecting text. Light dampstaining to final five leaves, not affecting text. Previous ownership inscriptions seen on title page.
