Black Farmer Head on a Stick Cap Toy
Ives, Blakeslee Company Bridgeport, Ct. - 1890's. Gertrude Hegarty Collection. Superior Condition. This represents a very rare example, only a scant few are known to exist. Successful results for this unusual toy require a quick flick of the wire rod. The tray at the bottom can be filled with as many as four exploding caps, insuring for a loudly explosive result. The toy is 11 1/2" tall and may possibly be unique.
